Chelsea Tavern Mural Finally Done!!!!!!

After Long off and on painting sessions, the Chelsea Tavern Mural is finally done!!!! Thanks to every one for the support, the 3EYES love and most importantly the patients! I painted this over the course of the elapsed (Fall of 2010 to Spring 2012) time to show the wall's evolution. I used many different paint and layering techniques to give the illusions of decay. I wanted to give the viewer of the finished piece to think it was old and worn naturally over the years. I am thinking this took around 60 hours to paint, but don't quote me on that!!!! Thanks and enjoy, GO!!! Wilmington! (Dimensions: 177 X 107)

Finally a recap of the past 2 months!!! July and August 2011

During the month of both July and August, I participated in the Floating Mammoth Presents show (July) as well as the 2011 edition of the fringe festival!!!! (August)

This was my installation to combat all the ridiculous art that I have seen over the years. Many Artist construct art with found objects and put arbitrary meanings behind their work. They place objects without any rhyme or reason it seems and get paid millions of dollars to do so. And I find it ridiculous that true artist with merit and amazing ideas are never given the credit they so rightful deserve.

The meaning behind this is very simple: By seeing through my hand cut stencils (The process) the work materializes. Most of the materials I used in this installation were found and later reused in other projects. In other words.... Question everything!!!!! Just because someone that is famous deems something as art, does not make it art!!!!

Oleny High School In Philly Gets the 3EYES Treatment!!!!

Good friend and 3EYES supporter, Nick Mehalick a 12th Grade English teacher at the Oleny Charter School in Philadelphia, recently commissioned me to paint this one of a kind mural in his class room! Please note that Nick did the lettering at the bottom on the bulletin boards, hahaha! Nick is also a local musician and artist. Please check out his band with his younger brother Mike the name of the band is "This Temper." They are crazy good and they are fresh off a summer tour of the east coast. The name of their debut record is called "Play the Victim". I highly recommend it and I even more endorse their high energy stage show. Thanks again Nick, this was a long time in the works and it was an honor to be able to paint in a Philly H.S. 3EYES Style!!! - More pictures to come!!!
